Return (May 3)

Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
                     Psalm 51:10 NIV

So David mustered the entire army and went to Rabbah, and attacked and captured it.
                      2 Samuel 12:29 NIV

The Lord gave David victory wherever he went.
                        2 Samuel 8:6b NIV

David, a rebellious man, is given victory by God's renewing, comforting, healing, abundant grace.

David's faith, trust, searching for the Lord and the Lord's will are examples for us to follow when we turn to the right or left, when we place our own will above God's will.

Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and he relents from sending calamity.
                              Joel 2:13b NIV

Where are you placing your faith, trust, and hope?

Pray for Pastors that they have the gifts of strength, wisdom, and courage to clearly proclaim God's word and for hearts to be prepared to hear the word.

In Christ,

David P
