Deuteronomy

First, a point of information. If you wish, you can comment on our posts. You can do so with a name or anonymously, and share what you want--likes, dislikes, questions, comments, etc. Click the COMMENT button at the bottom of each post (the one at the bottom of this post should read 1 comment, since I'm going to put one there as an example). Don't feel obligated, but if you're so moved, it's easy to do. Also, if you see there are comments for a post, you can click the tab to read them.

As we will shortly see, Deuteronomy is essentially a review for the people of Israel. As far back as Numbers 27, God told Moses to climb Mt. Nebo to be gathered to his people, and Deuteronomy gave Moses one last opportunity to review the law with the Israelites, and more importantly, for the Israelites to express their willingness to obey the Lord. There will be parts of repetition over the next twelve days, but there will be parts of great beauty, as well as some ominous prophecy. Never forget one of the reasons for this repetition--to burn into the heads of the Israelites what God expected of them and the rewards for doing so and the punishments for not. Isn't that one of the reasons we still do Bible study today?

  1. This is an example of a comment. Hopefully, anything you write will be better than this.
