Time with Jesus (Oct 13)

The apostles gathered around Jesus and reported to him all they had done and taught.
                              Mark 6:30 NIV

The apostles today are role models for us, for today they talk with Jesus.  The apostles tell of the events of their day.  One might speculate on healing, driving out demons, telling of Jesus and his concern, care and love for all.  The apostles gave glory to Jesus for their actions and teachings.

We can, through prayer, talk with Jesus.   Jesus wants to know our cares, concerns, problems, challenges and have the opportunity to direct us through the Spirit.  Jesus wants to know what we have done, what we have taught others, and have the opportunity to bless us through the Spirit.

Do you have a place to go to be with Jesus, some people have a favorite place, a chair, a walking path, a tree, or other location that is set aside for prayer and communication with Jesus.  Do you try to gather around Jesus often?  Do you share your concerns, accomplishments, and life with Jesus?  If you do not, consider setting aside a location to be with Jesus in prayer.

What kinds of things would you share with Jesus?

Are there anythings in your life that you would be ashamed to share with Jesus?  Bring them to Jesus in prayer, for he knows about them already and ask him to strengthen and provide courage to remove those things from your life.

Pray for the Spirit to give you time to spend with Jesus.
