She Died? (Oct 11)

While Jesus was still speaking, some men came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue ruler.  "Your daughter is dead," they said.  "Why bother the teacher any more?"
                                            Mark 5:35 NIV

Jesus, Son of God and Son of man, wants to know what is on your mind.  He is interested in your fears, your challenges, your relationships, your faith, and your soul; remember, He died and defeated death, just for you.

We can bring our concerns to Jesus and to God the Father because of what Jesus has done.  Often those concerns are small, like for good weather, for the Spirit to guide us during our study, for strength to make it through the day, for our daily bread.

In addition, Jesus is interested in our BIG concerns. He is interested and wishes to comfort us when we have fears.  Think of the prayer Ananias prayed when he was tasked to meet with Saul, in Damascus, after Saul's conversion.  Ananias must have thought something like... "Lord, this guy kills people like me!  Why me?  Can't you find someone else?"

How do you respond when Jesus calls you?

Again, Jesus is interested in us, He knows what we need.  He knows the way out.  God has understanding and wisdom that far surpasses our own understanding and wisdom.  When we have major losses of our bodily function like: paralysis, leprosy, dementia, or losses of relationships like: death, divorce, imprisonment, employment, or others;  bring them to Jesus in prayer.  Again, He knows the way out.  Jesus has the final answer!  It's God's time, not our time.

Jesus is interested in relationships.  He is interested in a relationship with you.  It is OK to "bother" the teacher now with your concerns.  He defeated all death!

Just pray.

In Christ,

David P
